Biography

Dr. Emre Aktürk is an Associate Professor at Kastamonu University, Chair of the Department of Nature Conservation and Biodiversity Management, and Director of the Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing Research and Application Center.

His research focuses on remote sensing, GIS, land cover dynamics, and forest monitoring. He has worked on several international projects and was a visiting scientist at Texas A&M University. He currently leads several LiDAR-based measurement projects.
